Housekeeping – Environmental Services, PRN [as needed]

12-hour shifts ~ 7a-7:30p ~ 2/2/3 rotation (every other weekend)

JOB TITLE:             Environmental Services Technician (Housekeeping)
REPORTS TO:        Chief Operating Officer
JOB SUMMARY:     The Environmental Services Technician will perform all duties of cleaning and sanitizing furnishings and areas assigned.

ESSENTIAL TASKS/DUTIES: (This list is a succinct summary of core duties only. Other tasks will be assigned)

As assigned:

1. Cleans bathrooms and basins, rooms and hallways, windows, walls and doors.
2. Dust, mop, vacuum, sweep, wax, buff, and disinfect.
3. Removes soiled linens.
4. Replaces sharps containers and properly dispose of full containers.
5. Empties waste receptacles and properly disposes of trash.
6. Washing, Drying, and Folding of linens.
7. Distribute clean linen.
8. Assists with inventory of supplies.
9. Abides by safety instructions and Infection Control procedures.
10. Takes call as scheduled and reports within a timely manner (not to exceed 30 minutes).
11. Rotating shifts, float and fill as needed.
12. Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Must have a current TX government ID.
2. High School diploma or equivalent.
3. Must be able to read, write, and follow written instructions.
4. Must be able to climb stairs and ladder.
5. Duties require frequent walking, standing, pulling, bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting, reaching, cleaning under and above objects to perform tasks and be able to lift objects that may weigh as much as 50 lbs.
6. Must be able to safely push/pull carts which may weigh as much as 300 pounds.
