Dr. Paula Denson, M.D.

Dr. Paula Denson, M.D.

Medical Director

A graduate of the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston Family Medicine Residency, Dr. Paula Schultz Denson has practiced in Tyler County for over 32 years. She has supported many families in the county by meeting the medical needs of each member regardless of age. She herself is married with two sons. Certified by the American Board of Family Medicine, Dr. Denson continues to provide care for all from birth and up.

A former Colmesneil High School graduate Dr.  Seale Graduated Magna Cum Laude from Texas A&M University in 2011.  She completed her training at Utah Valley Family Medicine Residency in Provo, Utah a level 2 trauma center garnering experience in caring for newborns, pediatric, obstetrical, adult, and geriatric patients.  She has spent the last 2.5 years practicing family medicine in Washington State.  She is married with two boys and two energetic dogs.  Having returned home she looks forward to may years of service in Tyler County.

Physicians Assistant

Lauren Conner, PA-C graduated from UTMB Physician Assistant Studies in Galveston December 2007 and was on the Dean’s list each semester. Lauren has a Bachelor’s degree in Biology, minor in chemistry and psychology. She went to McNeese State University in Lake Charles where she achieved Honors Scholar and Magna Cum Laude. Mrs. Conner has a variety of experience around Southeast Texas and Louisiana and has had the honor of working at MD Anderson Cancer Center. Mrs. Conner has been with TCH since November 2016.

Nurse Practitioner

Originally from Chester TX, Amber Davis, FNP-C joined our clinic in 2021. She graduated Magma Cum Laude from Stephen F Austin State University with her Bachelors in Science of Nursing in 2007, and then earned her Masters in Science of Nursing with a focus in Family Nurse Practitioner from the University of Texas Arlington in 2019. She is looking forward to serving our patients and the community for many years.

Nurse Practitioner

Shalicia Riggins MSN, APRN, FNP-BC is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner certified by the American Nurse Credentialing Center in 2021. She earned her Licensed Vocational Nursing certification from Angelina College in 2004, Associates of Science degree in Nursing from Angelina College in 2007, graduated Magna Cum Laude and earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from the University of Texas Arlington in 2016 and Master of Science in Nursing degree from the University of Texas Arlington in 2021.
Her personal philosophy is “Nursing embodies knowledge with compassion, it involves formulating care that is individualized and specific to each patient without sacrificing quality. I believe I was created with a purpose and that is to provide high quality healthcare for the service and love of others.”

The Tyler County Hospital Family Medical Clinic proudly serves our community. No appointment is necessary for sick and acute care only. Routine healthcare visits are available by appointment. TCH Family Medical Clinic is open Monday - Friday from 8 am - 5:00 pm and Saturday 8 am-4:30 pm. Most insurance accepted!
